Locally Owned Software, Web Design Firms Collaborate To Expand Services, Delivery

THOMPSON’S STATION, Tenn.—Two locally owned technology companies have formed a strategic alliance to deliver even better, high-end Web-based technology solutions to customers.

The alliance between Franklin-based Avatar Software and Rimshot Creative, based in Thompson’s Station, provides customers a one-stop solution for Web and print design, corporate branding, traditional marketing, email marketing, custom programming, and software development – including Microsoft SharePoint solutions.

Franklin-based Avatar Software specializes in designing and developing custom software for medium and large businesses. John Gould, who founded Avatar Software in 2003 under the name Ethereal Software, said his company was founded to fill a need in the Nashville-area business community.

Avatar’s largest area of business is in Microsoft SharePoint and the company works closely with the healthcare and law industries.

“Avatar is a true all-purpose, boutique-style consulting company with a focus on software development that enhances business productivity,” Gould said.

Rimshot Creative began as a Website development company in 2007. Since then, founder and owner Stephen Foster has broadened his menu of services to include design – both print and Web – logos and branding, Web hosting, product photography, traditional marketing, and email marketing.

The ultimate goal of the collaboration is to simplify the web development process by giving businesses a single point of contact for their online needs, Foster said.
